Niner Empire Exclusive!!! Dwight Clark contacted us to show some love to the Niner Empire. He has drawn "The Catch" on white panel footballs with both the offense and defense on the ball (as pictured). He has also written "The Catch" with the date, the final score of the game, the formation and name of the play, and his autograph, his number and "SF 49ers".
What makes these footballs really special is that Joe Montana has also autographed them for him. These are limited edition footballs and have been numbered. We have these footballs available for $350 including shipping and handling. Sports Gallery, a memorabillia store in the San Francisco Bay Area, is selling these footballs for $849.
My name is Steve Mahoney, and I was born and raised in San Francisco. I have been a faithful 49er fan sense i was 8 years old. When I was a kid i use to pick up the cushions at Kezar Stadium for a nickel and cut the back of Christopher Milk cartons because it was like a ticket and they would let kids sit in the in zone seats. As I got older, I wanted to build a custom 49er motorcycle that no one else has. It took me 5 years with a few different people to help me build it and the paint job was done by Mike McArdle at Broken Neck Kustoms, who also stared in the movie La Mission. Last year the 49er nines called me to do opening day and monday night football, and hopefully I'll be able to do it more in the future. I have always been a 49er fan, and always will be.
